after the first 400, i questioned my ability to actually run over 800m, specifically the 1000 this weekend. i am concerned that since i have not raced anything over 800m since the 3rd indoor race of my life my freshman year, that i may have some trouble dealing with it.
i felt fatigue after the first set, probably from the last 2 weeks.
on the last set, i got out hard, effortlessly in a 28, but mysteriously closed in a 31.
an easy three miles felt good. i hope that just running these easy miles all week will help me to feel refreshed and ready for the meet on saturday.
preach it brotha
Since I am not racing for another couple months I decided to add to the workout. I did 600 AT, 3x400, 2x200, 3x400. I felt terrible through the first set of 400's (62, 59, 59) but then felt fantastic over the middle and end of the workout with a 29, 28, 60, 59, 58 to finish. I don't know where my fluidity came from because i certainly felt rusty over the first three. Anyway, I'm happy with the job everyone did today and I think the rest will give all an opportunity to accomplish a few goals this weekend.
