Sunday Apple Blossom 10.4 miles

Breathtaking run through the apple valleys of La Crescent, MN. (see WalkJogRun route).

Jonathan drove the crew around to familiarize ourselves with the route, eventually we figured it out. It wasn't easy to start this run after driving it and seeing what lie ahead but once the hill was crested it was all downhill.

Bauers ran by himself for most of the run which is probably for the best, but it probably wasn't the most enjoyable.

8.3MPH or 7:12 pace. (75 minutes)

A good run, very difficult.

Felt good for most of the run, the downhills were hard on the joints but I'm feeling fine now.

It was nice to do a different run, I can't stand the Victory route.

Well it sure was a nice day and I liked doing a totally different route. However I think I'm overtraining.

My legs just killed going up the first 2.5 miles uphill. I don't think I ever really recovered from the hill workout friday because we ended up doing some hill work on saturday too. Then today when I got behind you guys I tried to catch up but eventually I just dropped into my own easy pace and didn't worry about it.

I think if I just take a really easy day tomorrow then I will feel alot better.

It was quite an adventure. It was nice to get out of the city a little bit. The hill at the beginning was really tough. It just was so long. It was nice though because after you get up that, the rest of the run is pretty easy. The big downhills were rough on the knees though. I agree with Boldt, we only ran 73min, putting us at just about 7min pace, but thats not too important. I think this put me at about 49 miles for the week.

Hello Guys!
Its good to see your training has been so strong already this year. I think 2007 holds a lot of excitement. Honestly, there is a decent twinge of jealousy in my observance of the kind of work that you are all putting in. Not only has it inevitably turned you all into machines, but it has bound you together as a team in a way that is obviously strong, confident, and fun. I wish I had a chance to more closely watch the triad of power and the bauers project in action, I'm sure its quite a spectacle.

Keep it up fellas.
