Finishing the 40

A three mile easy Sunday run today. The goal was to be well rested and hope that the short run would feel superfluous. Seems like that worked. Weekly mileage: 40!

40 miles a week ended on an easy note. I enjoyed my run today and it went by exceptionally fast. My legs seem to be fairly well rested today and I hope that they will be comfortable for this important training week upcoming.

I ran on my own today because of other obligations. Though it was a gloomy day, the run went well. It was over before I knew it. I felt superfluous...whatever that means. I am sure glad that we run 9 yesterday so we only had 3 today. It was a nice restful day. As we now draw near to competition, I am going to try to make a better effort of getting proper rest. My sleeping habits over the last few weeks have not been bad, but they definitely could have better. 40 miles this week is close to the highest mileage I have ever done before and I want to make sure my body is able to maintain and recover.

i felt pretty good today, and my leg is slowly recovering so that makes me happy. this coming week is going to be very difficult academically, and my rest will have to be adjusted. Fortunately, this is essentially the last work of anything of substance for me so this is IT!

My legs felt strong for the 3 miles. I agree that it was really nice to have an easy day like this after a tough week. My right shin still hurts a little bit. I'm going to get it checked out again on Monday, and I'll probablly have to be icing before and after practice.
