The whole gang, Mouse, Child, Otto, Shop, and Bolt ran over to 29th street to do 2 full hills and 2 half hills. Mouse led the climbs with 35, and then 33.5 on the longs. We had a moderate wind at our back.
We finished the day with a 15second pickup 30second rest, 30/60, 45/1:30, 1/2, 45/1:30, 30/1, 15/30.
The temperature was 70degrees fahrenheit or over and very sunny.

The improvement we had going up those hills, even with the wind, was astonishing. I am confident that I am stonger than ever right now.
During the fartlek I quickly overheated and felt like I was going to vomit. So I slowed down.
Unfortunately, I absolutely could not fall asleep the night after this workout, laying in bed for about 5 hours and sleeping for 4. GRRRRR. The catch22 of knowing you need sleep and getting very frustrated when you can't fall asleep as the night goes on...
The wrkout was fun and I thought that we ran it well. The hills were explosive and terribly fast. I really cannot believe that I would get left in the dust while running a 35.5 - unreal! I guess this is a sign that we are fairly strong. Now that we have got the goods under the hood we have to focus on racing smart and fine tuning the fitness that we have acquired. I'm excited to see where the rest of the season takes us. Great job all around fellas. Boldt, its good to have you back (at least for now)!
I actually had a similar experience to Jonathan in concern with my sleep. I laid in bed for nearly two hours before sleep found me and, thus, I am not terribly rested for Tuesday's workout.
We did the old two birds with one stone trick today. Some hills into a little fartlek. It felt a little weird to run in 70degree weather again. I was probably a little dehydrated. The hills went well. The first one I did in 35.0 which is as fast as I've ever done before. My second one was 33.5 which was a lot faster than I ever did before. I think that I might have run a little to hard on the last one. My legs were a little tight by the time we started doing the rest of our run. Thankfully they loosened up by the time we hit the pick-ups. Those felt fine. We were probably running at AT pace or a little faster. It didnt feel like I was pushing my legs too hard on these, but I did find it somewhat difficult with the heat.
About 5.5 miles today to start the week.
I felt dehydrated today, but I made it through alright.
