When Dr. Esten told me how you guys were struggling with this workout, I thought I was going to be able to one-up you when I got on the track later in the day. WOW, I was wrong. I ran the first one and when i hit the finish line in 1:35, I was congratulated by a group of what seemed 6th grade boys chanting "nice shorts fag". Where are the adults and supervisors for these kids anyway? The oldest person out there was probably a freshman in high school.

I took 5 minute rest intervals between the 800at, 600, and second 600.

What I noticed most was significant leg fatigue. I felt a lot better at the end of last week's workout with the 700s.

I must say that I am noticing a trend that says we are probably working harder than we have in the past years. I am glad that we are pushing the envelope a little bit, and I think I am going to see some big payoffs in May.

Well, I felt alright out there. My AT felt terrible, but then as the workout progressed I felt better. I was able to come through the quarter in 63 and then 62, but after the 450 I was unable to accelerate in any manner. I ran the 150's and decied to go for one more 500. I ran through the quarter in 58 and then, again, could not accelerate whatsoever. I feel that the fatigue that was built up by yesterday's workout was nearly impossible to overcome. I'm glad that our work has been so intense lately and I feel, as Jonathan said, that dividends will be paid in May. For now I am satisfied about the workout for the day. Though unable to complete the workout as written I feel that the work that was put in was still exceptionally solid.

Definitely not a day to be too proud of...but thats ok. Just didnt feel good at all today. Didnt feel to bad on the first 600 but just couldnt accelerate. Hit it in 1:35-1:36 so pretty close to pace. Ran the second 600 in about 1:34. Pretty close to pace still but I started to really fatigue after 300m. Once again I couldnt pick it up at the 450. The 150's went pretty well but they still made me a little tired. Just did a 800 AT at the end to close things up. Didnt get the work done today as planned. I think my legs were fatigued with the Monday workout. This would have been better had we done this Monday. Now I just have to get some rest and get ready to go again on Thursday.
7.5 miles today making it 16.5 for the week so far.
