We had the wind at our backs so it really wasn't that bad and it was a B-L-A-S-T... literally! We got about 9 miles total today with 5 miles of it on the track (including recovery laps). Looking forward to a shorter workout tomorrow and a beautiful day. Congratulations to Tom Bauer contributing by executing the last 300 in record time.

This workout was mentally difficult, as are all longer repetitive workouts, but it was pretty easy. I said a 7/10 on the phil esten challenge scale today, but now I think it is a 6, with our tuesday workout last week being a 9.

I felt good (and looked good) and found the workout quite tolerable even as we approached the end of it.

I think the best way to describe today's workout in 2 words is "PURE LIFE". think about it.

This workout was a moderate pace so it wasnt very hard at all to hit the times. About 48, 46.5, 45, 43.5 for the 300's in each set. I was just really tired and didnt want to be outside in that wind so even though it wasnt difficult, I was longing to finish and get back inside. For some reason I had a horrible nights rest going into Monday. I could tell I was tired and I didnt feel very smooth during the workout. But, we got it down and it wasnt to bad. 9 miles in total for the day.

The workout went well. I think that the most difficult part of the workout was just getting through it. My legs felt fairly rested and even at the end the times were not terribly difficult to attain. I went on a little longer cool down and was able to record 10 miles for the day. What a start to the week. Hopefully the Tuesday workout will go well and our legs will respond alright to the extensive work done on them on the first day of the week.
