i was extremely nervous for this race, and i was worried about not getting enough rest. i got the baton and tightened up immediately - feeling like crap. i got the baton in 3rd place and in the 3rd lap passed steven's point which required a massive surge on that oval of a track. i maintained 2nd position for that lap and then stevens point passed me back. i held onto stevens point long enough to finish in the 3rd position again. pretty disappointing time.
i just didnt perform as i wanted. got it in the lead, and just satyed there. pretty sure my slpits were the same as last week, which is what i didnt want to do. no excusess, just didnt run well.
i hoped to go a little faster in the quarter, but i dont know how much faster i can go than 51 low right now. it was a very awkward feeling. i have not sprinted like that for a while. i think it was a good thing to do before conference next week.
the mile was not a race for me. i was not mentally prepared for it at all and i felt as if i had zero energy, after two laps i knew i would not run fast and i just finished the race.
i hope i recover from illness before next week. it is making me feel horrible and zapping my energy from me.
