Yes.
Awesome.
Good race guys, running 1:55 right now is spectacular especially in a race that is this tight the entire way. I was so pumped to see three guys under 1:56 already and all on the same day - man I wish I would have been there to see it, it sounds like it was beautiful.
overall, not a bad day. i got out hard and made it to the cut first (i wish that just once i wasnt stuck in 3rd position in my alley). hit the 200 in 26 something. hit the 400 in 55 something. hit the 600 in 1:25 something. I fought as hard as I could to maintain the lead, but they all overcame me with 40m to go. I REALLY wanted to win this race. It's hard to lead 760m and then watch the big dogs inch in front of you. My finish is still not quite there, but every week is getting better.
I am encouraged that we are improving every week. We all shaved over a second off last week. Also, 1:55.80 is my new indoor 800m PR.
I am also very happy that we were all in front of the rest of the WIAC today.
i figured i could render the classic move-from-behind tactic in this race where it was surely to get out hot.
it did not get out that hot, and after the first 200 it slowed big time but i moved out into 2 and started making moves, 1 whitewater kid, 2 whitewater kids, sat on boehlke for the 3rd and took him in the 4th.
to qualify, we're going to have to man-up and get out in 54-55 and maintain into that 3rd lap.
the first lap was prefect for me, about 27, the second lap is what killed me. i got cut off and was in lane three for a while, and just didnt make the move up the field that i wanted to at that point and pretty sure it was about a 29. overall still got back in it to finish fairly well. felt good the last 250 when i was moving up.
i think i was about 27,29,29,30.
i need to get to 27,28,28,30.
hey guys good to see your times are dropping already. thats is sweet. nice race.
