what a pathetic race we ran. all 4 of us were in the back of the pack the entire time despite the fact we covered nearly 50% of the field. when the leaders made their move with 300 to go, we didn't respond until it was too late.

all i can say is that sitting in the back of the pack was not the correct strategy to use today.
the season is far from over
I ran a workout today on rabbit trails. I did about 4.5 miles total. In the middle I started with 2 30s pickups. Then a 45s one. At the end of the run I did a 2 min pickup. My legs felt good like I could go faster but I didn't work them too hard.
Simply put, I ran more stupid than I have in four years. There is nobody to blame expect myself for my performance. I feel slightly responsible for eveyone's performance. I could have done a lot of things to help myself and my teammates out. Today was not a good day.
I have learned a lot.
