Wartburg Meet
DMR: Oelstrom (3:04.?) to Mouse (51.?) to Boldt (1:55.2) to Zdroik (4:07.?) Team Time: 9:57.02 *School Record*
as a team it was awesome. very fun race despite the fact all of us, except about 400m for kevin, were all alone the entire race. KO pulled about a 15 to 20 meter lead that pretty got a little larger by the time paul got the stick to finish it off in an amazing time.
my race personally was not so spectacular. splits were 27,28,29,30. kind of a standard theme for me over the years at this point in the season. i am disappointed in the fact that i didnt force myself to the max over those last two laps. i know i could have given more cause i recovered in like 5 minutes and didnt have that normal post race pain. the legs felt good though and i know i can hold that 28 pace...now it must get done.
i was in the second heat of the 800, but it still got out pretty hard in the first 200. I was in last place at the 2, and was through in 28 i think. Being in the back may have cost me some time, the rest of the race I was moving around people, in lane 2 alot. i worked my way up to second but then could only hold on for 3rd in the heat. my splits were 28,30,30,31. I need to get my second and third laps a touch faster, and run at least a 30 to finish.
I was in the B 4by4. I led off and fritsch had me in a 52.8. i was really happy with this. I hadn't run a 4 since highschool, so I wanted to see what i could run.
51.3 for a split. was hoping to go under 51 so not to pleased with the time. however, every 400 i have run so far this year i have dropped about .5 sec. the speed is still coming and i hope to be under 51 at whitewater in the 4X4.
treating this as my off week as far as racing...thats why i only ran the dmr and nothing more.
