Tuesday Track Stuff

2 mile warm-up
BMS
600 AT
2 x 500 (:58, :57) 8 min rest
3 x 200 (:20, :28, :27) 200 walk rest
2 mile cool down

*Due to time restrictions on the track this week and Andrew having class today we had to really rush the warm-up and got told to leave the track before we could do another 500 and our AT.

not a very good day. we didnt hit the times, but i never really felt tired or unable to run faster. i think the rushed BSM and warm-up hurt the workout for me. then on the 200 i felt fine and as i started the final 500 was told "it's not track practice" and had to leave the track.

next week should be better with our regularly scheduled times set. and we have discussed dropping to only 2 reps of the 550 next week with some more 200's. something like this:
3 x 200 (29 to 27 cut downs)
1 x 550 (56)
8 x 55
3 x 200 (28 to 26 cut downs)
1 x 550 (56)

my times on the 500s were about 2-3 seconds slow. my legs just were not feeling great.

very displeased with the day. the first one was off by a bit. it only took about 3-4 minutes to fully recover from that though. but then the second one was not much faster. i felt very sluggish during the 200's.

factors such as waking up 30min before beginning and rushing through the warmup will probably played a significant role.

we talked about what we need to do differently and hopefully next week we can execute better.
