The first 800 didn't feel too bad, i am used to running our workouts which are at a much faster pace, but when i came by the 800 in 2:12 i knew it was too fast for me to hold. I stayed in the back the whole time trying to run my own race but i got pulled out too fast.
I was at 4:05 with 200 to go, but i hit the wall in the last 70 meters. I feel like I could have had a big PR if i went out slower. But it was kinda fun just going out at that pace for a mile. never have done that before.
was the DragonMaster and boldt in the same heat? that must have been a pretty big showdown.
i felt really good, and ran it at a pretty even pace, and felt like i could have continued to run at least another 100 at that pace. the turns were tough and wouldnt allow me to maintain my top speed. but it was a fun race and meet, good to get back into the race season.

kinda hoped to go a little faster but i guess it was fine for the first 400 of the year.
first 200 was an all out sprint. tied up on the last turn pretty bad. probably could have run faster if i didnt go all out for the first 200. it was fun though and a good way to get back into race mode.
