These 700s were a different kind of hard that we were used to, yet everyone kept commenting on "how great they felt". well, i felt like crap. I led the second 700, and wasn't sure I was going to make it. Ran the 200s 2-3 seconds too fast. Then, on the last 700, we went either too fast, or perfect. Lots of heavy lifting. Last week of this heavy lifting cycle.
This was my first workout since the middle of December. I think that it was a pretty good day. Ran a little under 33 second 200 pace for the 700 and finished all three in a mid 1:55. 200's felt fine in about 30-31. I definitely felt awkward running but I felt decently strong and relaxed. First day of good lifting in a long time. Overall I think it was a pretty good day.
My stomach was feeling a bit weird to start out with but once i got going it went away. i felt pretty good and hit my pace of 1:59 for all 3 700s. I also hit my paces for the 200s. felt good but my foot is still bothering me. i might have to take a day or 2 off.
I was surprised at how the workout went. I thought that it was going to demolish my physical and mental strength, but it ended up being just fine. I was pretty comfortable the entire time and hit all the intervals at the pace I wanted to. The other guys looked great as well, Nice work.
