Friday 11 miler

Snowstorm of epic proportions today. The whole town is in 4inches of disgusting yellow-stained mess. Regardless, our dedication to the cause lives on. From Hixon lower fern loop to rabbit trails to shithouse and back. Lucky us, we also were graced by "Eric Hill". Dave Saucerman bruised the back of his knees from running too much. Mouse is not in the house.

Big Dog Boldt led the pack today with authority.

Finished the run with some serious lifting. Boldt and Otto are unable to increase resistance. Suspect insufficient protein to compensate for 55 mile weeks and excessive lifting.

ran on my own today. my run was full of cursing and frustration. no matter what direction i was going, the snow was piercing my eyeballs. I ran 5 miles outside and ran 3 more inside mitchell for 8 total.

the drive was horrendous. took I94 to eau claire to avoid the treacherous back roads. moved at 10 miles an hour for nearly two hours. Saw several semis flipped over and dozens of cars in the ditch. however, i arrived to my destination safely.

8 miles total today putting me at 34 for the week so far.

some ice got in my sock and cut the back of my foot but it was a lovely landscape and happy ending to a long week

My legs were sore from the race but I think the long run actually helped a lot. I was soaked by the end of the run which wasn't very cool. I'm sure everything in my locker is wet which isn't cool. I'm looking forward to going easy for a few days, and then getting another shot at the 800. This time I won't go out fast, and I will have a much more desirable result.
