This here is a running log-blog for the members of the La Crosse MD crew. Herein, those associated with the team - or just those who want to be like us - can catch a glimpse of our workouts and how they have faired. I haven't been on here in a while since i have not been doing much running. I am starting to train seriously again though.
If Heitzman and I run enough while we are in spain I may run the cross trial. I plan on trying out for track again for sure though.
30 miles for me this week. Abdominals and push ups everyday.
this was the starting week for me as well, not much of one but a start none the less. only ran 22 miles, the first two runs were horrible, legs were dead from lifting and i felt like an overweight football player trying to run. took lifting easier and a few days off and now its going much better.
my plan is the following:
june:
40's, only easy miles
july and august:
50-60's with maybe a down week in the fortys once or twice.
also starting in july i plan on building up to about two AT/fartlek type workouts and one hill workout a week. and also maybe taking one of the AT out and instead doing one hard workout a week like a tempo run, mile or 1000 intervals, something like that.
