Congratulations to another 100% qualification rate for the MD crew. Though only one of you will be running at the National Championships, all of you earned a spot on the national team. This kind of success rate has not occurred for any group since the MD crew of 2003. Our small size assists in the kind of success that we have, but it is also a confirmation of every members' ability to practice and compete at the highest level.
To the two who will not be in the competition: think about going down on Friday to watch the entire meet. Watching a bunch of guys that you can easily run with at the national meet will inspire you to work harder and smarter and may provide the tiny amount of extra fuel that is needed to get you into the meet at Oshkosh at the end of May. Plus, it would be nice to be there to support your boys on Friday night. Think about it anyway.
Miss you guys. Congrats again.
thanks hummer. its very nice to have people watching and caring how we do, like you and coach e do.
the race was pretty interesting, with matt legal rabbiting for us i expected it to go out a lot faster. and i was actually worried i was doomed for another 1:55 when i heard 55s coming through the 400 behind legal and bolkhe. but we kept pace and moved past legal at about 500. i still didnt feel like i was finishing that hard, but it was the first time in a long time that i have closed under 30 so it still was pretty good i guess.
looks like the cutting of mileage for the past two weeks paid off and gave some needed energy back to our constantly tired legs after the 400 in races.
that was the last race of my indoor career and it was awesome.
all i can say is that i felt GREAT. i was able to move in and out of traffic and have a great time. passing people feels great. i passed Legel at the 600 and tried to hook onto boldt but couldn't hang for the last 50m where 2 guys passed me.
shake n bake baby.
pretty disappointing day. maybe it wasnt such a good idea to run in such an empty field. probably would have run better at stevens point, but cant do anything about it now.
got out fine in 26.3. pressed the second 200 and came through leading in 54.2. at 550 i was absolutely shot. i couldnt move at all. i was honestly very suprised that i ran as fast as i did, because it felt like i was walking the last lap.
probably got out a touch to hard today. it was good to test the waters though. i just need to work on speed endurance.
looking forward to the big outdoor track. i am going to use this time well to prepare for a big outdoor season.
