pretty upset with the time, just not quite good enough. but knowing that we went out at about my 200 pr pace makes me sure i will drop the time on thursday. we went out in about 23-24 some have said even 22ish, just ridiculously fast. being in lane one i didnt want to get stuck in the pack so i just went out and after the break found myself right were i wanted to be, after a little mishap with otto, right in 4th. i just didnt know that mouse and legal were in an all out race to the 200 and pulled us along for a hot start. we then slowed to finish the first 400 in about 53. never really felt completely dead till after the 600 which we hit in 1:20, then it was a death march home. just have to go out a little smarter so i can finish like i had been before and everything should be fine.
pretty disappointed with the race.
started in the same alley as legel. we both took off and did not stop. blistering first 200, slowed a little to come through in 53. still felt good at the 400. started to surge a little and came through the 600 in 1:20-1:21. was pumped at this point because i was right next to boldt and right behind kramer. the last 150m was a living hell. i could not move at all and i swam painfully to the line.
hopefully get out a little smarter next race and hopefully the finish will be more favorable.
i got out hard with the rest of 'em, and started to feel it right away but i didn't consciously think it was that fast until coach E told us after the race.
at the 400 boldt passed me with authority, the next 400m was a death march, i felt like walking off the track.
although i feel that my success is much higher with even splits and thus hopeful for another race, i hang up my spikes because i think it's time to move on. this season was a lot of adventure and i've enjoyed it much but i struggle with the race anxiety and i can't sleep etc.. and i'd rather finish the season watching these big magillas run fast.
PEACE
