This here is a running log-blog for the members of the La Crosse MD crew. Herein, those associated with the team - or just those who want to be like us - can catch a glimpse of our workouts and how they have faired. i got out in middle of pack, and at 400 made a move. i simply had no power, no gas. with 200 to go i had hit a wall and people were passing me the whole way home. i knew it was all over.
by the time i walked back to the fieldhouse i could hardly move and felt like i was going to vomit.
i got up to move and the sensation grew stronger, i ran to the bathroom and then the overwhelming smell of the urinal cakes or whatever was in there caused me to vomit immediately. i vomited 4 times in the toilet, and as i was cleaning my face off in the sink i started to vomit again.
i got back to the fieldhouse to do some jogging to get ready for the 4x800 but my legs felt like toast. i told the guys and kevin to prepare to enter to battle.
kevin told me he didn't feel good either. then phil talked to me and realized things weren't looking too good.
we cancelled the 4x8, which i think worked out for the best considering boldt ended up winning the 800, and our team had enough points.

sat a few strides behind this one kid who went out hard till the 450 or so, then started to reel him in. finished right with joebob.
had to try a little harder than i wanted to, but the result was exactly what i wanted so it all worked out good.
4x800 was planned but canceled due to sickness of otto and ko.
very happy with the trial. i executed exactly how i wanted to.
got out and led it and took it through in 55mid. kramer passed me on pack stretch and i just kept contact.
got a little complacent last 50m cause i figured i was fine. that was a mistake and it could have screwed me but it worked out fine.
